Tranquil Retreat has a full glass water frontage with panoramic views of the river and Killalea State Park which will instantly put you in the relaxed holiday mood. The premier entertaining area has multiple living areas including a light and airy gourmet kitchen, dining, sitting area and loungeroom flooded with sunlight. Open the double set of stacker doors to feel the sea breeze and allow seamless indoor/outdoor flow onto the expansive timber deck overlooking the spectacular river. Hear the waves of Mystics Beach. Take full advantage of the outdoor space – fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco on the waterfront or use the 2 complimentary kayaks and 2 paddleboards to explore the river and access the secluded Mystics Beach. Take a short 2-minute drive to the patrolled Jones Beach for a swim or just wind down reading a book on the comfortable lounge after a busy day. Tastefully decorated bedrooms and living rooms with a fusion of coastal style have been designed for guest comfort. Ducted air conditioning, ceiling fans and a wood combustion fireplace ensure year-round comfort. High ceilings and picture windows create a gorgeous sense of space and light throughout this home. Enjoy stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, or swimming in Minnamurra River, the local beaches, a day of golf at Kiama Golf Club a short walk away or one of Kiama’s Coastal Walks. Cyclists are catered for with cycleways from Minnamurra along the beautiful coastline north to Wollongong or south to Kiama as well as through the dairy farms of Jamberoo. Keep an eye out for whales as they pass by the coastline each year between May and November. The many headlands along the Kiama coastline provide the best vantage points and a whale watching platform has been installed on Minnamurra Headland. Minnamurra Point recreation area has boat ramp access, tennis courts and a children’s playground. Linen: All linen (sheets and bath towels) is supplied for your stay and included in the tariff. For the comfort of our guests, we do not triple-sheet. All beds have a fitted sheet, a flat sheet and a quilt with a full cover. BYO linen for the complimentary travel cot. BYO beach towels. Property Specific Notes: Enough wood will be supplied for the fireplace/slow combustion wood heater for the first two nights. After that, guests must purchase top-up wood and kindling from the local petrol stations at their own cost. This property is not safely fenced from the river. Life jackets are provided for use with the paddleboards and kayaks. Pets are NOT welcome at this property. Wi-fi is offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge issues will be dealt with asap but cannot be guaranteed. To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for "Schoolies" breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.
