Altitude Adjustment is a proven winner for couples, large families, and multi-family groups traveling to our beautiful mountains. This 4 bedroom, 4 bath home has 2 working fireplaces, 1 and a half kitchens, PLUS astounding, long range views from every window and two decks. This is an excellent choice for groups (of up to 8) to take advantage of all the WNC mountains have to offer. Located in the beautiful, gated golf course and airstrip community of MOUNTAIN AIR, you’ll love exploring the quaint, scenic mountain town of Burnsville. Looking for local, craft beer- check out Burnsville’s Homeplace Beer Company. Grab lunch in downtown at Garden Deli or enjoy a night out at Snap Dragon Bar & Kitchen. Mt. Mitchell State Park, located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Burnsville, is a scenic, 1.5-hour drive from the house In just 45 minutes you could be at the gates of the Biltmore Estate or roaming the eclectic downtown Asheville scene! Then head back to your comfortable vacation home to gaze at the starry night sky and feel cool mountain breezes. Guests may hike the many wonderful hiking trails throughout the Mountain Air community as well as enjoy their numerous well-maintained parks. Outside the Mountain, Air gates is an abundance of activities to explore and enjoy the mountains! River rafting, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking the Pisgah Forest, zip lining, horseback riding and SO much more! There are 4 smart TV’s with streaming options (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu). The double-decked floor plan offers a large deck off the main living room with gas logs and TV with guest-activated streaming options, a kitchen area, a bedroom with a queen bed, a full hall bath with a walk-in shower (no tub), a master bedroom with king bed and large en-suite bathroom with shower and also a large soaker tub, gas logs, and a private covered deck. The lower level offers a master suite with a queen bed, kitchenette, and full bath with a walk-in shower (no tub) Gas logs on the lower level are NOT usable. The upper level includes a loft living area, a full bath with a walk-in shower (no tub), and a bedroom with 2 twin trundle beds. There is also a Foosball table in the loft. This house is pet friendly with an additional pet fee. This home has an outdoor security camera for safety reasons. PLEASE NOTE: Guests are required to submit additional paperwork (no less than 72 hours prior to arrival) to ensure access to the Mountain Air community. For this reason, we can’t accept reservations made less than 3 days prior to your arrival. Guests do not have access to the Mountain Air amenities, but there are 6 parks within the community that renters can access. During the colder winter months, icy and/or snowy road conditions and delayed snow plow operations are possible within the development. From December through March, please come prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles. We also highly recommend travel insurance. Altitude Adjustment will be decorated for the holidays. To help you plan and make the most of your holiday getaway, please note that most of our homes are decorated by the first week of December.
