“A dream is like a river ever-changing as it flows and a dreamer’s just a vessel that must follow where it goes.”
We’re not sure if country music icon Garth Brooks has ever had the good fortune to play the lively hostelries of Wandsworth, but his lyrics were on point when it comes to describing the lure of this waterside apartment, with its sublime wooden deck terrace that overlooks the River Wandle. Here, you’ll enjoy the best of serene south London living whilst being excellently served by easy connections to the heart of the city centre from nearby Earlsfield or Southfields stations...
Speaking of dreams, you’ll slip into a blissful night’s sleep in the principal bedroom, with delicate spot lighting, soft carpets and soothing house plants all gently guiding you towards a soporific slumber. Wake up to verdant views across the waterfront before enjoying a reinvigorating shower or bath in the adjoining ensuite. Early birds may flock to the second bedroom, enchanted by the French doors that lead out onto the terrace – a mindful spot to catch the sunrise with a rejuvenating brew as the dawn chorus chimes across the waterway.
Everyday living is expertly accommodated in the open-plan kitchen and living room, finished in a contemporary style with light wood floors and soft cream furnishings. Swayed by the notion of a romantic evening in? Settle down on the sofa and spring the projector into action before curling up in front of a classic Hollywood film.
However, for those warmer summer evenings, it’s those whistling waters outside that will invariably win hearts and minds. The decked terrace is heaven sent for lovers of an al-fresco lifestyle with its generous dining area and snug suntrap seating. Let the rippling rhythm of the Wandle be the soundtrack to your evenings as you watch the stars settle in over the London skyline.
We Love
The ingenious lengths this waterfront idyll goes to bring the outside in, from the patio doors that teasingly invite natural light, to the potted plants and climbers that deftly accentuate the lush foliage lying just beyond the terrace.
Home truths:
No smoking, pets or parties! A washing machine and dryer can be found in the kitchen, in addition to a juicer and a blender. Please note, while this home doesn’t come with a television, it does have a projector that’s perfect for a film night in (alas, popcorn not included...). This apartment can sleep up to four guests, with a double sofa bed available in the study.
Please note, Property Manager homes are lived-in homes, which we think adds to their charm! Guests should, however, expect to find homeowner belongings and personal items within the property.
