Villa Traversi is a historic 19th-century villa which has retained the best and most relevant features of its past. The owner, an Italian fashion designer, did a complete renovation, turning it into a modern home providing all the conveniences and comforts to fully enjoy a vacation with family and friends. The villa is directly on the lakeshore with a private dock and lake access. The interior layout (400 sq meters) features three floors, and the garden level is accessed by a stairway; therefore, the property is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Como, just a few kilometers from Como and Cernobbio, Villa Traversi offers an idyllic retreat for up to 8 guests. Built entirely on the rocks in the early 1900s, this villa has retained its timeless beauty over the years. Recently renovated, the villa combines historic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a blend of old-world elegance and contemporary style, featuring renowned designer furniture. Outside, the lakeside garden boasts ancient plants and a fountain with water lilies. Take a dip in the heated infinity pool or head down to the private dock for a boat ride on the lake. From the parking and terrace a garden stairway adorned with flowers leads to the intimate lakeshore garden, where the infinity pool, chairs and sunbeds await, shaded by a century-old Lebanon Cedar tree and an Olea fragrans, which fills the air with the fragrance of its white flowers. In the center of the garden, there is a small fish pond with a waterfall, accompanied by a bronze statue depicting a Faun. Attractions: The villa’s position is ideal for roaming around Lake Como by boat or by car. Located in Laglio on the western shore of the Como leg of Lake Como, north of Cernobbio (7 KM) and close to the famous George Clooney’s residence. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance (300 meters); you easily reach Como in 20 min and Cernobbio, with the famous Villa d’Este hotel, in 10 min. Every corner of Lake Como has much to offer; historic sites, charming villages, and mountain trails alike. ENTRANCE LEVEL FIRST FLOOR Living room with a working fireplace, 2 Minotti sofas, design furnitures, Persian Carpets and sound system. Dining area opening towards the furnished terrace for al fresco dining. Stunning lake views! On the same floor, brand new kitchen, a showcase of technology and craftsmanship created by Lombard artisans. The Giva kitchen is crafted from solid wood with a Titanium Golden Black granite top. It features a side-by-side fridge with ice production, Siemens ovens offering various cooking modes including steam, static, microwave, and a warming drawer, a vacuum machine, wine cellar, and automatic sparkling water dispenser. Additionally, there’s a Nespresso coffee and cappuccino machine, an American coffee maker, an Italian moka pot, 5 professional burners, and a Bora induction hob, as well as a toaster, juicer, and all the necessary cooking utensils. Chefs are available for private dinners and cooking lessons upon request. SECOND FLOOR - Green master bedroom: The room features two windows overlooking the lake, air conditioning, and a comfortable 180x200 bed with a memory foam mattress. Four pillows are provided, two of which are made of memory foam. Antique Persian carpets adorn the floor. In the anteroom, there is a large wardrobe with a safe. The original Art Nouveau bathroom is adorned with artistic windows in the Art Nouveau style, a bathtub, and a shower. On the other side of the house, there are two bedrooms. - The Red room features two windows overlooking the lake and comfortable beds with memory foam mattresses, accompanied by double pillows. The single beds are sized at 90x200 or can be arranged as a double bed at 180x200, complete with exclusive cotton satin linens and a light duvet. Air conditioning and antique Persian carpets adorn the space. - The Yellow room boasts two windows, one with a lake view, and two beds sized at 90x200. Furnished with a light duvet and cotton satin linens, the room also features air conditioning. The mattresses are memory foam, like the pillows. - In the corridor connecting the two bedrooms, a large and spacious wardrobe links them to the bathroom, which is equipped with a shower and bathtub. The bathroom overlooks the lake and is adorned with 19th-century artists’ glass. Persian carpets add to the ambiance. THIRD FLOOR - Step into the inviting Room dedicated to the renowned artist Piero Fornasetti (Milan 1913) with some of his famous works. Enjoy the romantic vista of the lake from the charming window. Choose between two single beds measuring 90x200 or a spacious double bed measuring 180x200. The room is equipped with air conditioning for optimal comfort. - In the bathroom, an antique white marble tub is complemented by exquisite Fornasetti lights and tiles. The spacious black Carrara marble shower stands independently and features a Jacuzzi with Chromotherapy. The staircase connecting all floors is made of Moltrasio stone and adorned with ancient drawings from the early twentieth century. Throughout the house, significant chandeliers drip crystal drops. LOWER LEVEL BBQ Area Living room with a window overlooking the lake, offering a wonderful view of the garden, which can be accessed. In the living room, there is a fireplace, a satellite plasma TV area with SKY, and a billiards table, as well as a sound system. It’s a comfortable space to watch a film, listen to music, or play billiards while admiring the garden and lake. A sofa bed is available upon request. On the same floor, there is a small guest bathroom and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine, dryer, and iron. GARDEN From the billiard room or the car entrance, you can access the terrace with the dining table and BBQ area. The spacious staircase, adorned with fragrant plants, descends to the lakefront garden, featuring an infinity pool (8x4x1.4 m) with a Jacuzzi. The swimming pool is heated. In the garden, there are sun loungers for sunbathing and armchairs for relaxing in the shade of the centuries-old Cedar of Lebanon or the Olea fragrans, which fills the air with the scent of its white flowers. It’s the perfect spot for reading or admiring the lake. From the garden, you can access the private dock and the 8-meter boat pier for swimming or boarding a boat. You can also dock your rented boat and use it at your convenience. Additionally, two kayaks are available for use.
