Welcome to Tanawha Vista!
Tanawha Vista is a charming mountain cottage with a huge wrap-around covered porch on three sides of the house, scenic mountain views, and a warm, fresh, rustic/modern feel. It has four (4) separate sleeping areas accommodating nine (9) guests.
Hiking and walking trails, rivers and lakes, and much more are convenient to Tanawha Vista. Located in a pleasant mountainside community, downtown Blowing Rock and Appalachian Ski Mountain are only a mile away. The Blue Ridge Parkway is within walking distance. Tweetsie Railroad is about two (2) miles distant, and Boone and the Appalachian State University campus are less than a ten-minute drive. Grandfather Mountain, Hawksnest Snow Tubing & ZipLines at Seven Devils, the village of Valle Crucis, and Sugar Mountain Resort are all less than fifteen (15) miles away. Banner Elk is about twenty (20) miles, and Beech Beech Mountain Ski Resort and Watauga Lake are about twenty-five (25) miles.
The main level features an open floor plan, starting with a well-appointed kitchen, granite counters, and stainless appliances. The central banquet-style dining table seats up to eight (8) guests together. The Great Room features soaring vaulted ceilings and wood floors, leather furniture, a gas log fireplace, and an HD Smart TV. A half bathroom and laundry room with a washer and dryer are on the main level. The impressively large porch spans the entire front of the house and even wraps around both sides. It provides expansive outdoor space for relaxation while taking in the layered mountain views, grilling out on the gas grill, or dining at the large picnic-style outdoor dining table.
The master suite on the main level features a king bed, tongue-and-groove wood ceilings, an HDTV, a walk-in closet, and a private ensuite master bathroom. The bath has a tiled shower and granite vanity with his-and-hers double sinks.
The upper level boasts another suite and two sleeping areas, featuring vaulted, tongue-and-groove ceilings, a second full bathroom, and a unique spa room with a large Jacuzzi-style jetted tub. There is one king bed and one queen bed, and the final sleeping area has a twin-over-queen bunk bed. All four rooms have HDTVs with digital TV programming and access to Smart TV functions.
Tanawha Vista offers central heat and air conditioning for year-round guest comfort, high-speed WiFi internet, and AT&T digital programming for all 5 HDTVs.
