Mountain View Chalet is a charming chalet with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located between Boone and Blowing Rock, this home is close to many local attractions, such as Appalachian Ski Mountain (15-minute drive), Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, and High Gravity Adventures Zipline and Aerial Park (10-minute drive). The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway provides hiking trails, lakes, waterfalls, canoeing, and kayaking and is accessible in less than a 5-minute drive.
This peaceful High Country getaway provides a spacious outdoor living space to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. It includes a hot tub, ample seating, outdoor dining, a fire table, and an outdoor bar. Local wildlife, including birds and deer, make regular appearances in the surrounding yard.
The open floor plan boasts vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the mountain landscape. The living area has a large HDTV centered over the cozy fireplace, surrounded by comfy seating. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a convenient bar with three (3) seats, and the dining table can accommodate eight (8). Additional seating is available for six (6) and four (4) at the outdoor table and bar.
The master bedroom on the main level has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and dual vanities. Upstairs, two bedrooms with king-size beds share a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo. A bedroom with two twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower is on the lower level. There is an additional sleeping spot on the queen sleeper sofa in the game room on the lower level.
The family game room on the lower level has a pool table, classic board games, and a seating area with a fireplace and HDTV. It also accesses the covered deck with a panoramic view, furnished with rocking chairs and a table.
This home is not pet-friendly. A shared parking area can accommodate up to three (3) seasonally and two (2) vehicles during winter times of ice and snow. Access to this home is down a flight of stairs.
