Bear Necessities is a charming, top-floor, 2BR/2BA mountain getaway condo with long-range views in the village on Beech Mountain. It’s an easy walk to the slopes of Ski Beech for snow skiing and snowboarding. It’s an easy walk to the shops and restaurants in the village on Beech Mountain, or to play putt-putt golf, go sledding, take a spin on the ice skating rink, hit the snow tubing runs, and more!
Although atop Beech Mountain and extremely close to the Beech Mountain Ski Resort slopes, as well as the restaurants and shops in the village, Bear Necessities is less than 4 miles away from downtown Banner Elk, less than 10 miles away from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and golf course, and less than 12 miles from Grandfather Mountain. The town of Boone is about 20 miles distant, and Blowing Rock is about 24 miles. The village of Valle Crucis is only 11 miles away. Snow tubing and zip lines at Hawksnest on Seven Devils are about 10 miles distant. Tweetsie Railroad is less than 25 miles away. These and much more are convenient to this charming mountaintop condo.
Bear Necessities is a single-level condo on the top/second floor in a small, custom, condominium complex. The master suite features a rustic hickory king-size bed, an HDTV, and long-range mountain views. The private ensuite master bathroom has a large, jetted soaking tub and separate shower. The second bedroom also features a king-size bed, HDTV, and long-range views. The second full bathroom with a combination tub/shower is adjacent to the second bedroom and has central hallway access. The kitchen features granite counters and stainless appliances. An open dining area has a table that seats six or more, with custom, rustic, log dining chairs and an antler chandelier. The living room has comfy leather furniture and features a floor-to-ceiling stone, gas log fireplace with a large HD Smart TV mounted above. The sofa in the living room opens up providing a full/queen sleeper bed for a flexible, extra sleeping option. Glass doors lead out onto the rear deck, open to the layered, long-range views. The view deck has a raised bistro table and stools which seat two, an electric grill, and four comfy, outdoor armchairs. The mountaintop views from the rear deck are sweeping and expansive.
Central heat, WiFi internet, HD Smart TVs with cable programming, a gas log fireplace, an electric grill, a washer and dryer, 2 king bedrooms plus a full/queen sleeper sofa, a fully-equipped and updated kitchen, and the oversized, jetted tub in the master bathroom are many of the wonderful features and amenities at Bear Necessities. The highlights of this charming, mountain condo, however, are the open and endless mountain views as well as its proximity to both the village on Beech Mountain and to the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort! In addition, Buckeye Lake and Buckeye Recreation Center are about 3 miles away and are open for guests to use and enjoy.
*Although parking is paved, level, and convenient this is an upper-level condo and is accessed by a flight of outdoor stairs that lead up from the ground-level parking area to the front door.
