Bear Necessities is a charming top-floor mountain getaway condo with seasonal views located in the village of Beech Mountain. It’s an easy walk to the slopes of Ski Beech for snow skiing and snowboarding, as well as to the shops and restaurants in the village. You can also enjoy activities like putt-putt golf, sledding, ice skating, and snow tubing!
Although Bear Necessities is at the top of Beech Mountain and extremely close to the Ski Resort slopes, it is less than 4 miles from downtown Banner Elk. Additionally, it’s less than 10 miles from the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Golf Course, and less than 12 miles from Grandfather Mountain. Boone is about 20 miles away, while Blowing Rock is approximately 24 miles away. The village of Valle Crucis is only 11 miles from the condo. For those looking for more adventure, snow tubing and zip lines at Hawksnest on Seven Devils are about 10 miles away, and Tweetsie Railroad is less than 25 miles away. This charming mountaintop condo is conveniently located near many prime high-country attractions.
Bear Necessities is a single-level condo located on the top (second) floor of a small, custom condominium complex. The master suite features a rustic hickory king-size bed, an HDTV, and stunning mountain views. The private ensuite master bathroom includes a large jetted soaking tub and a separate shower.
The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, an HDTV, and offers long-range views. Adjacent to the second bedroom, there is a second full bathroom with a combination tub/shower that is accessible from the central hallway.
The kitchen is equipped with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The open dining area features a table that seats six or more, complete with custom rustic log dining chairs and an antler chandelier. The living room offers comfortable leather furniture and includes a floor-to-ceiling stone gas log fireplace, with a large HD Smart TV mounted above. The sofa in the living room can be converted into a full/queen sleeper bed, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements. French doors lead out to the rear deck, which features a raised bistro table with two chairs, an electric grill, and four comfortable outdoor armchairs.
Bear Necessities is equipped with central heating, WiFi internet, HD Smart TVs with cable programming, a gas log fireplace, an electric grill, a washer and dryer, two king bedrooms, plus a full/queen sleeper sofa. The fully equipped and updated kitchen, along with the oversized jetted tub in the master bathroom, adds to the many wonderful features and amenities available.
The highlights of this charming mountain condo are the seasonal mountain views and its proximity to the village of Beech Mountain and the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Additionally, Buckeye Lake and the Buckeye Recreation Center are just about 3 miles away and are available for guests to enjoy.
*Please note that while parking is paved, level, and convenient, this is an upper-level condo accessed by a flight of outdoor stairs leading from the ground-level parking area to the front door.
