Just 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, this home is a gateway to quaint shopping, delectable dining, a family park, and many festivals and events throughout the year. For the avid hiker, the home’s driveway leads to private access to the Moses Cone Park trails – a sprawling 25 miles of scenic hiking trails. The Hebron Falls Trailhead and entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway are a mere 3 miles away. Thrilling winter activities await at Appalachian Ski Mountain, an easy 8-mile drive. The vibrant towns of Boone (8 miles) and Banner Elk (14 miles) are also within reach, as are a host of high country attractions, including Tweetsie Railroad, Sky Valley Zipline Tours, Boone Golf Course, Doc’s Rocks Gem Mining, and much more!

Guests of Grandfathered Inn have permission to use the amenities available at the Yonahlossee Racquet Club! The pro shop, the indoor swimming pool, the indoor tennis facility, the fitness center, outdoor tennis courts, and the pickleball courts are all less than a mile away, inside the gated community and within a 1/2 mile walking distance. The indoor swimming pool and tanning deck is a wonderful feature. Please remember that the indoor and outdoor courts and amenities are only available during staffed hours, which change seasonally. Courts must be reserved, and a small hourly fee may apply. Please contact the Pro Shop to make court reservations and obtain more info on hours and availability during the dates you plan to come. There is a camera at the property facing the driveway.

Enjoy the trails, picnic areas, small creeks and streams, and ample outdoor common areas. For the more experienced hiker, some incredible, marked trails are nearby, leading to boulder fields for rock climbers. The cycling on and around Shulls Mill Road and the Blue Ridge Parkway is some of the most sought-after, so we host many cyclists at our Yonahlossee properties.
