Welcome to Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet!
Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet is a charming, nicely updated 3BR/2.5BA mountain cottage only a few hundred yards from the ski slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain. Located a couple of miles from downtown Blowing Rock and a couple of miles from Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet is about 6 miles from Boone and around 20 miles from Banner Elk. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines are both only about 18 miles away. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 25 miles away. Grandfather Mountain, Lake Watauga, and lots of other mountain attractions are close by.
The main level of Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet offers an open floorplan with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, an updated kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and a nice six-person dining table. At the back end of the main level looking out at the mountains is the living room with leather furniture, a gas fireplace, and an HDTV. There is a nice deck with an outdoor dining table and charcoal grill with long-range mountain views. A half bathroom services these parts of the main level. The King Master Suite, featuring cathedral ceilings, mountain views, an HDTV, a walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom with an oversized step-in shower, is also on the main level.
At the foot of the stairs to the lower level is the den with a round card table which transforms into a bumper pool table. Also in the den is an HDTV, a full-sized futon sleeper, and comfy seating. There is a glass door out to the lower rear deck which offers nice mountain views. A central full bathroom with tub and shower services the two queen bedrooms and the den on the lower level.
Central heating and air conditioning, wireless internet, and digital cable TV programming on all 4 HDTVs are features at Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet. The house is equipped with a washer and dryer. Steps beside the house lead to a private landing and a wood-burning fire pit with outdoor seating surrounded by mature woods. During ski season walk a few hundred yards to the ice skating rink and ski slopes of Appalachian Ski Mountain.
