Welcome to Pinnacle View Lodge!
Pinnacle View Lodge is a large mountain home on a wooded mountainside property with multi-mile long-range mountain views less than a mile from restaurants, shopping, and parks in downtown Boone. Appalachian State University and the football stadium are less than two (2) miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are about seven (7) miles, and downtown Blowing Rock is less than ten (10) miles away. Hawksnest Snowtubing and ZipLines in Seven Devils are less than fourteen (14) miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is only fifteen (15) miles away. Downtown Banner Elk and the Lees McRae College campus are only seventeen (17) miles away. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about twenty-two (22) miles away. Grandfather Mountain is less than twenty (20) miles away. There are trails to walk/hike/bike, creeks and rivers to fish and swim, and much more to experience nearby.
The main floor offers the primary kitchen, fully equipped for preparing meals and serving large families. A small breakfast room with a four-seat table is between the kitchen and dining area. The banquet-style dining table seats up to ten (10) more guests. Adjacent to the dining table is an expansive great room with huge glass doors revealing mountain views, comfy leather sofas and chairs, and a stone, gas log fireplace beneath a large HDTV on the far wall. A spacious open-air deck off the great room and dining area stretches the width of the house and wraps around the side up to the front parking area. On the main level deck are a gas grill, a custom dining counter with a live-edge wood slab that seats up to four (4) guests, and a two-top bistro table and chairs. Adirondack-style lounge chairs and gliders complete the deck furniture.
Also on the main level is the primary king bed master suite, with big view-facing windows, an HDTV, and an ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom on the main level has a queen bed with an HDTV. Across the hall from it is a second full bathroom.
Upstairs is another bedroom suite with an ensuite bathroom with a granite vanity, a tub, and a shower. This large top-level bedroom has an HDTV, a king-size bed, and a second twin bed with a twin trundle. There is also a small Juliette deck off the big upstairs bedroom.
Downstairs features a den and game room with another gas log fireplace, an HDTV, a slate pool table, and a second full kitchen for meal prep and cooking and convenience downstairs. A third bedroom suite downstairs has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, and an HDTV. A door goes out onto the lower deck from this suite, giving private access to and from the hot tub. A second downstairs sleeping area holds a double bed and two twins offering sleeping for four. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer downstairs. A picnic table for additional outdoor dining and a big 6-seat hot tub are on the rear, lower, covered deck. A side stairway leads to the backyard and the wood-burning fire pit.
Pinnacle View Lodge provides Air Conditioning, WiFi Internet, a total of six HDTVs with either cable or Roku programming, a washer and dryer, a hot tub, a pool table, and a paved level parking area that can comfortably accommodate 5 to 6 vehicles.
Pinnacle offers three suites: the main level master suite with a King bed, the upstairs suite with a King bed and twin with trundle bed, the downstairs suite with a King bed, as well as a main level Queen bedroom, and one downstairs sleeping area with a double and two twin beds. We have a maximum occupancy of 14 guests at Pinnacle View Lodge.

The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. These views become particularly spectacular during autumn when the leaves transform into vibrant hues.
History and culture enthusiasts have plenty to explore in Boone as well. The Hickory Ridge Living History Museum offers an immersive experience into 18th-century life with its historical structures and live demonstrations. While not located directly in Boone, but rather in nearby Blowing Rock, The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts is worth a visit for its display of contemporary art from both local and international artists.
Adding to the vibrancy of this mountain town is Appalachian State University. Visitors can experience collegiate energy by attending a football game at Kidd Brewer Stadium or enjoying a performance at one of the university's theaters.
The culinary scene in Boone mirrors its Southern heritage with numerous comfort food options but also caters to global palates with international cuisine offerings. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate several local breweries.
