Located outside Blowing Rock, Longview Cottage is on Appalachian Ski Mountain, near the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cone Manor House. It is just a short drive to Boone or Blowing Rock and other High Country attractions and amenities. Longview offers homey comforts and vacation cabin amenities for a romantic getaway for two, or a comfortable family retreat for five.
Longview Cottage is a 2 bedroom/2 bath, single-level home with 150-degree pastoral and mountain views. Furnished with beautiful antiques and art, it is a perfect getaway for anyone.
Longview Cottage is equipped with three cable TVs, a DVD player with a wide assortment of DVDs, games, and books. It has wireless internet access, ceiling fans in both bedrooms, a washer and dryer, a nice gas wood stove for cooler nights, and air conditioning for the warmer summer days.
This home has a wonderful split deck/porch where you can sit outside and enjoy the views and cool crisp mountain air no matter the weather. Sit under the porch if you like shade, or if you need a dry place to read a book on a misty day. Sit out and dine in the open air and enjoy the distant vistas. The porch/deck is a wonderful outdoor living room. It has a gas grill, a table with chairs, chaise lounges, a swing, and a hammock. It is surrounded by wildflowers and wild garden plants. The spacious living room and well-equipped eat-in kitchen’s large windows bring the views inside, while the hardwood floors, oriental carpets, and the stone accent wall in the living room convey elegance and warmth.
*Pets are allowed with an additional pet fee. There is a dog crate included!
This home is located on Flat Top Road and has plenty of paved parking for two or three cars. Although the driveway is paved, you may need a 4-wheel drive if there is a large amount of snow in the winter. The driveway gets good early morning sun and usually clears off nicely, but can be difficult with heavy snow.
Views, privacy, convenience to all the area activities, Longview Cottage is a wonderful place to visit!
