Mere moments from the crossroads of highways 25 & 105, it’s super-easy to get on the road and around the region for shopping, school, visiting the region’s many memorable attractions, or experience world-class outdoor recreation options, including hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, fishing, hunting, ziplining, rafting, and more. Monument offers dining and shopping options, many clustered around the junction of highways 25 & 105, including a supermarket, drug store, brewery, and multiple coffee shops. Downtown Monument, with its wooden sidewalks, quaint shops and galleries, never fails to charm. Colorado Springs is just about 20 minutes away, where you’ll find award-winning dining, unique shopping, concerts, theater, art galleries, museums and more. Some of the closest popular outdoor destinations include: Monument Lake, a favorite of local fishing enthusiasts. Stocked with brown and rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and splake (10 minutes) Fox Run Regional Park, offering several miles of gentle hiking trails through a ponderosa pine forest, plus two small lakes, playgrounds, and picnic areas (11 minutes) Monument Rock, a 2.7-mile loop trail offering opportunities for spotting wildlife (14 minutes) Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands, encompassing nearly 3 million acres of prairies, woods, lakes, trails, snow-capped mountain peaks and more.
