The residence features a spacious king bedroom and queen bedroom, a beautifully appointed full bathroom with a standing shower, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining spaces, and the convenience of a private in-unit washer and dryer. Whether you’re visiting Jacksonville for a professional assignment, medical stay, romantic getaway, family visit or an extended stay, The Fourth House offers a refined alternative to the typical hotel or vacation rental. Welcome to your private residence at The Fourth House, an individually designed retreat created to feel collected, comfortable and distinctly different from the typical vacation rental. Located on the second floor, the residence pairs the character of Historic Springfield with a sophisticated interior designed for guests who appreciate beautiful spaces without sacrificing everyday comfort. FULL KITCHEN The residence includes a fully equipped private kitchen, giving you the flexibility to dine out or enjoy the comforts of cooking at home. It’s particularly convenient for extended stays, traveling professionals and guests who simply prefer having a real kitchen rather than relying on takeout for every meal. SECOND-FLOOR LOCATION This residence is located on the second floor and requires approximately 20 stairs to access. There is no elevator. The front porch also has approximately three steps. We provide this information in advance so guests can select a Fourth House residence that best suits their needs. We have two units available that are 1st floor in acceptance to the front porch steps totaling 4 to get to the front door. HISTORIC SPRINGFIELD AT YOUR DOORSTEP One of the best features of The Fourth House is its location. You’ll be staying in the heart of Historic Springfield, a Jacksonville neighborhood known for its distinctive historic homes, architecture, local businesses and community character. Neighborhood restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, bakeries and Main Street favorites are just blocks away, giving you plenty to experience close to home. The property also provides convenient access to Downtown Jacksonville, UF Health Jacksonville, the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Downtown Campus, EverBank Stadium, VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and Daily’s Place. This makes the residence especially well suited for traveling physicians and healthcare professionals, corporate travelers, visiting faculty, medical patients and their families, couples, relocating professionals and guests seeking quality accommodations for extended stays. SHARED FENCED BACKYARD Guests also have access to the property’s shared fenced backyard, providing an additional outdoor space to enjoy during your stay. The Fourth House consists of four private residences, so the backyard is shared respectfully among guests of the property. ARRIVAL & PARKING The Fourth House is the teal/blue historic home located behind the black gate. Each residence has its own assigned unit number and a distinctive colored entrance door, making your residence easy to identify. Your specific unit and door information will be included with your check-in instructions. Please close and securely latch the black gate behind you whenever entering or leaving the property. Street parking is available only. There is no designated private parking lot or driveway for guests. Enjoy your morning coffee at home, explore Springfield on foot, spend the day Downtown, return to your own private space and settle into the neighborhood at your own pace. Whether you’re here for a few nights or an extended stay, The Fourth House was designed to feel like somewhere you’d want to stay a little longer. Parking: Street parking is available only. There is no private or designated on-site parking for the property. Please be mindful of posted street signs and any parking restrictions during your stay. Finding the property: The Fourth House is the teal/blue historic home located behind the black gate divided into 4 different units. Enter through the black gate and please close and securely latch the gate behind you each time you enter or exit the property. This helps keep the shared property secure and comfortable for everyone. Each residence has its own assigned unit number and a different colored entrance door, making it easier to identify your specific accommodation. Your unit number, door color and detailed check-in instructions will be provided prior to arrival. Because this is a four-residence property, please double-check your assigned unit number and door color before entering. The front porch is a shared space. Guests will have access to the entire space except for storage closets which are present in every unit. Springfield is a great neighborhood for walking and biking! Jacksonville’s Skyway, with limited service around the Urban Core area is a half mile to the south and is co-located with Jacksonville’s central bus station. Ride sharing services are also great options as well and driving is preferable for areas well outside of central Jax (St Augustine, Brunswick, Gainesville, etc.) To help ensure a smooth, secure, and enjoyable stay for all guests, please review the following important information before booking: Check-In & Identity Verification Policy All reservations require the primary guest (the booker) to complete a secure online check-in process prior to arrival. This includes: -Uploading a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID -Uploading a selfie to confirm identity -Reviewing and signing our rental agreement This process is similar to hotel check-in and is required because we do not typically have staff on site. Check-in instructions will only be provided once this process is complete. If you would like to review the rental agreement before booking, please feel free to contact us. In some cases, we may also request a security deposit and/or apply a damage waiver fee in accordance with booking channel policies. * It typically takes ~1 hour to screen a guest after they book this property and could take several hours if we are busy before we are able to provide them with check-in information. If you make a last minute reservation, we ask you to please be patient and please do not expect to gain access to the property immediately. Guest Count & Occupancy Policy Each listing includes a maximum number of guests based on unit type and local regulations. Additional guests are welcome for an added nightly fee: -2 & 3 bedroom units: $35 per guest, per night after 4 or 6 guests, respectively Please ensure your guest count is entered accurately at booking. We will confirm the number of guests after reservation. If the guest count changes, pricing may be adjusted accordingly. For safety and compliance purposes, exterior security cameras are used to verify occupancy. Unreported additional guests may result in additional charges. Pet Policy This is a pet-friendly property. While our cleaning team is thorough, guests with severe pet allergies should be aware that dogs, cats, or other animals may have stayed in the space previously. Pet fees: $30 per night, per pet $150 per week, per pet $300 per month, per pet Pet fees are included in the accommodation rate as long as you choose the appropriate quantity of pets when completing a booking. We confirm this with all guests post booking confirmation. Local Reservation Policy Reservations under 7 nights from guests residing in the local area may be subject to cancellation at our discretion. We handle exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Early Check-In & Late Check-Out Policy Early arrivals and late departures are not guaranteed and must be approved in advance. If approved, the following fees apply: -Up to 1 hour: $25 -1–2 hours: $50 -2–3 hours: $75 -3+ hours: $100 or the cost of an additional night (whichever is greater) Please do not assume availability without confirmation. Smoking Policy Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including indoor and outdoor areas. If evidence of smoking is found, an additional cleaning fee of $500 will be applied in accordance with the booking channel’s cleaning and damage policies. Special Request Policy Requests for items such as pack-n-plays, high chairs, or other non-standard amenities should be submitted at least 7 days before check-in to ensure availability. Requests made closer to arrival will be accommodated if possible but cannot be guaranteed. We understand that this is a detailed list, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to review it.
