- NOTE: Due to recent fires in CA, the electric company will cut power when there are high winds and lightning in their service area, which often affects Big Bear. Although inconvenient, you will have light available with emergency lanterns that are supplied throughout the cabin, and you will have heat via the cabin's gas heater and fireplace. These electrical outages are outside of the owner's control
