Early 19th century detached two-bedroom cottage, one minute’s walk from Tewkesbury town centre. Clean, tidy and cosy, ’Gothic Cottage’ is situated extremely close to the high street and all local amenities including Tewkesbury Abbey. Cheltenham Racecourse is 15-20 minutes by car. Small outside decking area to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine. The cottage has two double bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, one with a double and a family bathroom. Cosy cottage in the centre of medieval Tewkesbury. The Town is just a minute’s walk down one of the two alleys close to the property. All rooms are well proportioned for up to 4 guests. The bedrooms are both doubles and the family bathroom has a bath and a shower. There is a private patio/decking area at the back of the cottage. Everything is within walking distance including the high street (1-2 mins), both rivers which run alongside the town (Avon and Severn - 3-4 mins) and Tewkesbury Abbey (10 mins). Please note there is no ’on-site’ parking. However, there is free public parking on the road for up to one hour between 09:00am and 17:30pm (limited spaces). From 17:30pm, parking is free in these spaces until the morning (09:00am). There are two large pay-and-display car parks within 2-3 mins walk from the cottage which cost £4.00 per 24-hours. These car parks are free after 18:30. If you are arriving by train (Ashchurch for Tewkesbury or any other local stations i.e. Cheltenham), we can book a local taxi for you if you need assistance with this. Gothic Cottage is a cosy and comfortable property in the centre of medieval Tewkesbury. The Town is just a minute’s walk down one of the two alleys close to the property where you will find a good variety of independent shops and larger chains. There are also many good pubs and restaurants within a short walk. Everything is within walking distance including the high street (1-2 mins), both rivers which run alongside the town (Avon and Severn - 3-4 mins) and Tewkesbury Abbey (10 mins). You can also get a taxi or use public transport to visit Cheltenham, Gloucester or smaller towns such as Evesham, Pershore and Upton-Upon-Severn etc. There is a bus stop in town and the Stagecoach buses run to both Cheltenham and Gloucester. Please note that the train station in Tewkesbury is a 9-10 minute drive from the property/town centre. Please note there is no ’on-site’ parking. Please note, the ceilings are a little lower than usual due to the character of the buildings. For any special requirements or if there are more than 4 guests, please contact us directly in advance of making a booking. **Important: To help protect our homes and guests, we may require the lead guest named on the booking to complete an independent ID verification process prior to arrival. It’s nice and easy, taking less than 5 minutes to complete. Please note this MUST be completed by the named booker. If completed by someone else, we will request for the verification to be resubmitted. Failure to complete this process correctly may result in the cancellation of the booking. Please note: We verify your details before your booking can begin and this must be completed 48 hours prior to your stay. You’ll receive a secure link to our deposit, damage waiver and ID verification platform to complete this step. You’ll be given the choice between paying a fully refundable £300 deposit (with a small, non-refundable £5.00 fee to cover payment processing fees) or purchasing a non-refundable £30 damage waiver, which protects you against accidental damage up to £300 during your stay.
