The Forest Mountain Escape is a charming four bedroom, two bathroom mountain
retreat that’s located in Mendon, VT - only 20 minutes to Killington ski
resort and even closer to all the shops and restaurants of Rutland, VT. Spread
out on two floors, you’ll find great mountain views, well-appointed amenities,
new furnishings, a great deck with charcoal BBQ grill, and an outdoor hot tub.
It’s the perfect place to come back to after a day on the slopes and gather
with friends and family in the cozy living room with open kitchen. This well-
cared for mountain home is located on a private road amongst acres and acres
of forest, and its beautiful mountainside location also means that it may be
difficult to access in the winter and during mud season. By booking this home,
you agree that you understand the conditions of access and have a proper 4x4
vehicle with snow tires if needed. Once you’re here, you won’t want to leave!

House Rules:
• 4X4 REQUIRED! This property is on a windy mountain road and may be difficult
to access during the winter and mud season without a 4x4 vehicle. By booking
this home, you understand and accept the limitations and complications on
accessing this property. GPS directions may not be accurate to this property,
but we will send you detailed instructions.
• There is an optional $195 set up fee if you wish to have that running
for your stay. You understand use of hot tub is at your own risk and that
special risks may be involved in using the hot tub. You accept full
responsibility for any bodily injury arising from use of the hot tub, and hold
owner and property manager harmless.
• The speed limit on our road is 5 MPH and must be observed at all times,
especially when passing through a neighbor’s property on the private road.
• Our minimum rental age is 25.
• We have some flexibility around our standard check in and check out times
depending on other bookings. Guaranteed early check in or late check out may
be available for an additional charge.
• We will provide you with access codes for our smart locks for contactless
check in and check out.
• Our entire home is non-smoking (e-cigs included). You may only smoke
outdoors. There is a $1500 fine for smoking in the house.
• Events and parties are not permitted.
• Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am.
• Up to two dogs are permitted with the payment of our non-refundable $155 pet
fee. You must pick up after your pets and keep them on our property, not the
neighbors.
• You must e-sign and return our written rental agreement after you complete
your booking.
• For your safety and ours, we have a doorbell camera on the house pointed at
the driveway and another camera on the back deck. This is not in any of the
living areas.
• Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am. We use Minut, smart home technology that
measures volume levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to
noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. Minut is 100% privacy compliant
and is required on this property. If you have any questions, please ask. We
are committed to your comfort so please let us know if we can do anything
during your stay to make it more enjoyable.
• Fireworks are not permitted.
• Winter weather is unpredictable. We do not offer weather-related refunds and
recommend purchasing travel insurance for any unforeseen events. All wheel
drive and winter tires are also recommended.
