Bears Den is the perfect place for you, your family, and your friends to get away. Bears Den welcomes guests into its warm woodsy décor. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a peaceful paradise. Enter either via the kitchen door or via the spacious screened-in porch.
Bears Den’s outdoor spaces beckon: Nestle in a cozy chair on the screened-in porch and watch the hummingbirds feed while serenated by birdsong. Head out to the backyard patio - gather around the firepit. Meanwhile, the kids can frolic on the playset! Ah yes – create those precious family memories at Bears Den.
Now, enter through the main door, guests are wrapped in the warm woodsy finishes. Plenty of space for family and friends to gather and spread out at Bears Den in the open space of the living room, dining space, and spacious kitchen. Tucked away down the hallway are 2 bedrooms. Climb the stairs to the kids bunk room and hang-out space with an ensuite half bath.
Bears Den wraps you in the peaceful blanket of the New Hampshire woodlands, and yet nearby fun abounds!
Come to Bears Den and enjoy all the fun Stinson Lake & Stinson Mountain offer. Stinson Lake, a deep-water glacier lake, is one of the few NH lakes without parasitic plants; its waters boast 25-foot visibility. Perfect for water play – fish, boat, paddle, and swim in Stinson Lake’s refreshing, clear water. Good news! Guests of Bears Den enjoy access to Stinson Lake via the community’s docks & lakefront deck.
Bears Den is close to Stinson Mountain, a lesser-known peak of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. As with all White Mountain National Forest venues, guests can enjoy hiking, climbing, & mountaineering. With an elevation of 2,890 feet, Stinson Mountain has some family-friendly walks that lead to great views! Prefer to ride? Bears Den is surrounded by peaceful winding country roads – take a ride and enjoy! Prefer spelunking? Bears Den is less than 15 minutes to Polar Caves Park. Prefer Rock Climbing? Rattlesnake Mountain is just 15 minutes from Bears Den.
After a day of adventure, return to Bears Den to relax and enjoy family and friends. Hang out on the screened-in porch – gather around the large dining table: enjoy dinner, play board games, or do a puzzle. Prefer comfy conversation: the living room, screened porch, and back patio – all provide cozy seating for conversation over cocktails. Prefer to watch a show? As your evening winds down, Bears Den comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Each 1st-floor bedroom has a Queen bed. The 2nd-floor bedroom has 2 Twin beds. With a blend of queen and twin beds, Bears Den easily accommodates couples, singles, and kids. 1 full bath with a shower/tub combined and a 2nd floor half-bath rounds out the accommodation.
