Fern Leaf Farmhouse - Stylish in Narrowsburg

Fern Leaf Farmhouse is a stylish country retreat nestled in the heart of the Catskills, located less than 2 hours from NYC, and minutes from the hamlet of Narrowsburg. Set down a quiet road, the house has 4 BRs and 3 BA. The house features front and back porches, a fireplace, a heated swimming pool, firepit and 2 pickleball courts. A contemporary take on the farmhouse vernacular, Fern Leaf Farmhouse is a destination unto itself. Set at the end of a private dead end road, it boasts a freeform heated saline swimming pool, two private pickleball courts, and is under 15 minutes into town. The stone fireplace is the focal point of the stylish living room, but you’ll be obsessed with the uber-cool “Frame TV” over the mantel, which converts to “artwork” when not in use. The dining room is in an alcove off the living room and sports a huge farmhouse table, which is what you want when gathering with your peeps on vacation and savoring each moment catching-up. The spacious kitchen has both country charm and modern conveniences, set off beautifully by wide plank floors. Upstairs are four lovely bedrooms. The master (king) is en suite with a shower, and the shared bathroom has a tub/shower. Rocking chair porches are key to a great farmhouse, and you have a choice of where to plonk yourself for your evening cocktail or to relish the peace and birdsong. In summer, the rear of the property is where it all happens, starting with the freeform swimming pool. There are lounges for, um, lounging (and napping, chatting, reading, etc.), so you’ll live out here. There’s a large and inviting cauldron-style firepit with seating for five right next to the pool. And then of course you can bring your rackets and head over to the pickleball courts. Such a fun activity for your group, without having to get in the car. But if you do wish to head out, Narrowsburg is a wonderful river town, set on the Delaware, with shops, eateries, art exhibitions and events throughout the year. Go tubing or kayaking. If that’s more adventure than you need, grab brunch or dinner — there are wonderful options. Fern Leaf Farmhouse is less than two hours from New York City, and you’ll definitely want a car to get there and around the area. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads. *Please note that the pool is available during the summer season only.
