Carr Crag Heights enjoys a most enviable elevated location above Skelwith Bridge and offers a truly spectacular vista from the lounge, master bedroom and grounds of the Langdale Valley and Pikes.
The extensive and exclusive seven acre grounds of Carr Crag give plenty of scope for children to play and explore. There’s a super Wendy House which provides a delightful and fun area for your children to play in and there are paths leading through the fabulous display of rhododendrons, hydrangeas and many other plants. A short walk from the property brings you down into Skelwith Bridge where you will find the famous Skelwith Force Waterfall, Chesters by The River, The Talbot Bar and the Skelwith Bridge Hotel. Ambleside with its eclectic mix of shops, bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute drive. Grasmere with its famous Gingerbread Shop is only a 10 minute drive.
The accommodation here at Carr Crag Heights, a traditional Lakeland house, has a certain elegance and charm, perfectly suited to guests of all ages. The dining table is well placed to take in more of that stunning view whilst enjoying a meal together and you may even catch a glimpse of some of the wide variety of wildlife and prolific bird life that visit the 7 acres of grounds, deer, badger and red squirrels all being reported by previous guests. Three good bedrooms, with one on the ground floor, offer flexible accommodation for the larger family or two couples whilst the well stocked, modern kitchen enables guests to get the very best out of their self-catering holiday. Carr Crag Heights really is a very special place and one to create and share happy memories with your very nearest and dearest.
The property is semi-detached with the other half retained by the owner’s for their occasional personal use. Both sides of the house are completely separate and assures complete privacy.
