The Neighborhood

The village of Netherton nestles in the wild countryside beneath the southern slopes of the Cheviot Hills on the fringe of the Northumberland National Park. Plessey Woods Country Park can be found a short four minute drive away, while the magical, mysterious village of Lilidorei in Alnwick is full of play and home to nine clans who worship Christmas. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the village lies within a county renowned for its heritage and history. It has stately homes, gardens and forests, as well as a magnificent coastline dotted with historic castles - all within easy driving distance. Netherton makes an idyllic destination for anyone seeking peace and tranquillity, yet needing to be within easy reach of the area's many attractions which include the great castles of Alnwick and Bamburgh. The town of Bedlington can be found less than two miles away from Netherton, and the historic market town of Morpeth is just five miles away. Exploring Morpeth’s cobbled streets, you’ll discover independent shops, cosy pubs and high street favourites. If you’re looking for a full shopping experience, head to Sanderson Arcade and you’ll find an array of stores as well as cafes, beauty bars and markets. Whilst in Morpeth, why not also visit Carlisle Park where you'll find a pretty river and boats for hire, along with well kept picnic areas, a children's playground, and a paddling pool in the summer months. When you want to get your hands on the best local produce, Morpeth’s popular Farmers Market takes place every first Saturday of the month in the marketplace. Also within close proximity to Netherton is the beautiful Northumberland coastline, along with the city of Newcastle and the Metrocentre where you can shop away to your heart’s content. For a wonderful day out you could enjoy a trip to Beamish, a world famous open air museum which brings the history of North East England to life at its 1820s Pockerley, 1900s Town, 1900s Pit Village, 1940s Farm, 1950s Town and 1950s Spain’s Field Farm exhibit areas.

Let’s try that again.
