Located in between the charming villages of Bamburgh and Belford, Poppy Cottage is a restful retreat. Sleeping two guests, it is perfect for couples or friends who want to unwind and relax. An ideal match for nature-lovers, keen walkers or those simply wanting a relaxed getaway – Poppy Cottage is sure to bring you tranquillity. Inside you’ll find a bright open plan dining area and living room. With neutral coloured walls and comfy leather sofas, this space is homely and welcoming. Spend quality time with your loved one after a long day of exploring the countryside. Turn on the flat screen TV and enjoy a cosy night in. Poppy Cottage has everything you could need for your stay including a fridge, oven, toaster, microwave, kettle, washing machine and dryer. Cutlery, utensils and pans are provided so you can take full advantage of the self-catering facilities at the cottage. There is also a dishwasher so you can avoid washing the pots during your stay! The bedroom is a relaxing space with neutral walls and plush carpet. The traditional, wooden bed is framed with bedside tables and lamps. There are even dressing gowns for you to use during your stay so you can get truly cosy. The modern bathroom features a large walk in shower. Please note that whilst the property does have Wi-fi, due to the location of the cottage the signal can be intermittent. Property Manager are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guests have access to the full cottage. The keys to the property can be accessed via a secure key safe. There is free parking located on site. Please note the washing machine is located in a shared laundry unit on the site. Poppy Cottage is located within 20 minutes’ drive time to beautiful areas within Northumberland such as Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell. There are excellent travel links as the cottage is only a short distance from the A1. The closest train station is Chathill, which is roughly a 15-minute drive from Poppy Cottage so local towns in Northumberland can easily be reached via rail. There are a number of bus stops throughout Belford. Hop on the 418 service to explore Bamburgh, Beadnell, Alnwick and Alnmouth amongst others. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahorses. Newcastle Airport is roughly one hour away by car.
