About the Stay:
A home fit for a royal family, Monarch Manor, Manali is a restored architectural masterpiece that is nestled amidst one of Manali’s quietest locales.
The villa is located on old Manali Road, 20 minutes (6 km) from Manali Mall Road, 12 mins (5 km) from Sajla Waterfall, and 60 minutes (47 km) from Kullu’s Bhuntar Airport.
There is 1 master suite, called the King Suite, along with 4 Royal Chambers and a Glass Suite.
The homestay has been painstakingly restored by a family of Ayurvedic doctors and healers who have infused the entire stay experience with measures that promote holistic well-being.
The home-chefs will also offer you authentic, pahadi meals that you will not find anywhere in Himachal Pradesh.
The master suite is on the first floor. It has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a great view from the private balcony.
Guests wcan access the lawns, living room (ground floor), and dining area (ground floor). The Family Rooms are present on ground & first floor and the Glass Suite is on the second floor.
Backstory:
Monarch Manor was an estate that was built as a gorgeous home that would be fit for the royal family of Manali. The family who owns it now has painstakingly restored it and added unique elements that highlight various stories around the build.
Let’s take a tour:
The front door is said to be the tallest main door in all of Manali at 24 feet.
Every piece of furniture is either restored furniture or one that has been carved from using cedar and walnut wood as a hat tip to the estate’s heritage
There are only 2 homes in Manali that flaunt a ceiling of this style - this, and the Home Owner’s. The interwoven style of this hanging ceiling will astonish you with its detailed thought and careful restoration. The ground floor was designed and put together after the first floor. The stairs were then added in such a way that the main entrance and the stars align perfectly. The vine that covers the living room wall was brought from Holland and needs to be watered only twice a year. The Home Owners are passionate about maintaining and promoting the legacy of Manali - From the traditional royal way in which homes were built, to the celebrated Pahadi hospitality. They also bought the land in front of the estate to protect the view of the Himalayan mountains, and not lose it to concrete construction.
