Immerse yourself in the peaceful rural setting of a traditional farmhouse with a true Tuscan feel. Surrounded by green lawns and woods, with plenty of space for groups, Villa Papari offers several living areas and two kitchens, adding flexibility to groups of friends wishing to holiday together, yet retaining some independence. The fully fenced estate and the spacious gardens make it ideal for families with children, who will spend hours playing with the funny ducks in the fully fenced private lake. Inside, beams, bricks and cotto floors testify the historic character of the original building. With windows and French doors open, an inviting Tuscan breeze will seduce you to slow down your days.
You’ll have country walks and biking paths on your doorstep, and pretty villages to explore, such as Montecarlo, renowned for the wine cellars, the several good restaurants and a folkloristic wine festival in the Falls.
Find out your favourite tastes through the local trattorias and learn the mastery of the “cucina povera”. Once the villagers’ food, these delicious dishes of the Tuscan culinary tradition have nowadays become delicacies on Tuscan tables.
There’s no better way to start your day than having your coffee in the garden, with the chirping of the birds the only sound to disturb the peace. Spend amusing dinners at the dining table of the green house, also ideal for cooking classes or pizza parties. Although an ideal nest for a quiet retreat, there are plenty of towns to discover in easy day trips, such as Florence, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pistoia and Cinque Terre, with Lucca just fifteen minutes away. For families with children, we suggest a stop at the Pinocchio Park, a short drive away.
