Both bathrooms feature walk-in showers, Moen shower fixtures and Public Goods body products. -KITCHEN & DINING- The spacious Hightail House kitchen is bright and inviting, featuring WOW Ceramic tile, Scandinavian lighting as well as everything you need to prepare the perfect meal, including a gas stove, wine fridge and cabinets stocked with a complete set of cookware, dinnerware and drink ware. Hightail House is set up to also satisfy your coffee needs with a drip coffee maker, french press and pour over set-up. If cooking isn’t your thing, Property Manager is happy to arrange an intimate experience with a private chef for your stay and/or have premium meats and beverages awaiting your arrival. The dining table inside seats 4 with seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. Or choose to dine under the stars on a large outdoor table adjacent to the BBQ grill, overlooking all of Joshua Tree. -LIVING SPACE- A spacious living room has been designed to feel as if you are nestled in the middle of your own desert. The floor to ceiling windows give sight to jagged mountain peaks, Joshua Trees, Jackrabbits and the sun melting into the horizon. The modern malm fireplace provides an element of comfort and warmth while you soak in the view or continue your festivities inside. -OUTDOOR SPACE- The outdoor spaces are intentionally integrated into the natural desert landscape. The BBQ, pool, and covered outdoor lounge area make it an idyllic setting for days spent in the sun. The pool is surrounded by an expansive patio with lounge chairs and relaxing options that capture the majestic views. Just off the pool there is a stargazing deck, bocce ball court and a propane firepit area surrounded by native plants which invite a range of daily wildlife visitors. Heated Pool (extra fee in October, November, December, March, & April) -ESSENTIALS- Parking is available for four vehicles and an EV charger is available. Hightail Home is equipped with high speed WiFi, heating and air conditioning. This home has a security camera mounted on, and directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. -ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS- Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at Hightail House. Some of our favorite options available to you: –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography. –Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm. • The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. Everything at your fingertips and more, when you book with us today! ** Cleaning Protocols *** As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit. You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process. While we encourage taking walks on Hightail House property and in the National Park, please do not wander into our neighbor’s backyards in the surrounding area as you will be trespassing on private property. Also note, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLES (OHV) IN THIS AREA. This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain. •POOL: Heating for our in-ground pool and integrated hot tub is included in your rental, except for the cooler season. Should you wish to have the pool heated during that time, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. Note: Only one, the pool or the spa can heat at the same time. Pool heating will have to be turned back on after the spa is not in use, you will need to notify us. Pricing is as follows- October and April - $200/night to heat pool November, December, & March - $300/night to heat pool No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. • EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees. • DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100.
