At 7 Seas, a 7-bedroom pool villa in Alibaug, bust this notion. So, even as you enjoy the company of doves and swans, surrounded by fruit trees and ample greenery, head back and have home-like comforts in the contemporary spaces. The high ceilings, glass panels and glass walls lend a spacious feel to the home. The 4 bedrooms on the ground level with ensuite bathrooms are done up keeping modern amenities in mind. The three bedrooms on the first level offer beautiful views of the mountains and greenery around. Hold a mug in your hand and take a solo walk on the terrace. Travelling during monsoons? Catch ‘em waterfalls from here. Have a picnic in the sprawling lawns that are ‘ripe’ with fruit trees like mango, chikoo, guava, raspberry and a ‘lit’ tamarind tree. If you’re a swimming soul, head to the large pool for some downtime. Relish home-cooked Alibaug-style meals, including Seafood, Jhunka Bhakri, Misal Pav, among others. The home is 5 minutes from the Karmarkar Museum where you can find sculptures of significant Indian historical figures. There’s a hillock right opposite the home where one could go for a quick trek.
