End Cottage, Chapel Stile

End Cottage is a traditional white stone built Lakeland Cottage with an abundance of character and not a straight wall in the place!. It is at the Eastern end of the village of Chapel Stile, as the name suggests, and from the doorstep you can literally walk straight out onto the fells. End Cottage is a good base to explore the many activities in the local area with some of the best scenery and walking right on the doorstep. Sleeping up to 6 people the tastefully decorated accommodation comprises of a large open plan lounge / sitting room, kitchen and dining area, 1 x double bedroom, 2 x twin bedrooms, separate bathroom, and en-suite shower / wc to the master bedroom. The large living room on the first floor has a huge window looking out over the hillsides. Outside to the rear is a pleasant paved area for sitting out and enjoying the peaceful surroundings and clear air. This leads into an enclosed area of fellside where children can play in perfect safety. There is parking for 2 cars at the side of the cottage. I won’t be available in person, but feel free to contact me with any questions. Alternatively my Property Manager Team are on hand throughout your stay from the office in Elterwater. The heart of the village is just a short stroll away. In the village you can find the well stocked local convenience store -the Langdale Coop, Brambles Cafe, and the Village Church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity, and The Wainwrights Inn which sells local brewed ales and provides good homemade food. The famous climbers bar at The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, and Stickle Barn Tavern (now owned by the National Trust) are just up the Langdale Valley. The property is not far from a main bus route. Elterwater, the famous Britannia Inn and Elterwater Cafe are a short stroll away, with a fabulous walk along the river. The cottage is also handily placed to access the Langdale Valley, 4 miles from Ambleside and close to neighbouring villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead.
