We searched for a long time to find a vacation property that offered us a safe family friendly atmosphere, in a great community, where we could "get away" from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives; a quaint space where we could relax but still have a lot of fun and most importantly, where we could be close to the beach, to hear the waves and be able to wake up every morning and embrace its wonder. First of all, a beautiful quiet beach without high rise complexes nearby. Several beachfront eateries within walking distance where you can savor the unique and delicious flavors of the freshest seafood available. Those include Pompano Joe’s, Captain Dave’s and Kenny D’s. Other attractions are just a short drive away. Just down the road is Silver Sands Factory Outlet featuring upscale shopping from more than 100 designer stores.  Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where the children will love to play in the interactive water fountains and nautical/pirate themed outdoor playground. For the big kids, there are over 75 shops and restaurants. Big Kahuna’s Water Park, The Track Family Fun Center and Destin Harbor also host hours of fun for the family. Destin Harbor has amazing bistros serving culinary delights sure to please your palate. Our newest attraction (2017) is Dolphin Reef. It is located 685 feet off of Miramar Regional Public Beach access near Pompano Joe’s and is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. This is sure to excite the snorkelers in your group. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddle board, or other flotation devise when visiting Dolphin Reef as sea conditions do change often and quickly.
