Good Medicine is a lovely log home located just 12 minutes from downtown Boone and 20 minutes to Blowing Rock! And less than 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway!! Perfect location for hiking, fishing, or ski trips; and of course the BEST location if you’re coming to town to cheer on the App State Mountaineers!
Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, Good Medicine offers luxury accommodations throughout the entire home. The spacious main level boasts a beautiful, fully stocked kitchen, along with a stone island, dining area and a living room with vaulted ceilings and a stacked stone fireplace! Most of the furnishings are brand new and very high quality. The master bedroom is also on the main level and features a king bed and private bathroom with a tile shower, jetted tub, and double vanities!
Upstairs find two more bedrooms, each with queen beds. These bedrooms will share a bathroom in the hall. The large loft upstairs has a queen sleeper sofa, a shuffleboard table, and flat screen TV. Each bedroom comes with comfortable mattresses, sound machines and room darkening blinds.
The lower level offers even more space to enjoy! There’s a den with 12-game arcade table, seating, and TV. Two more bedrooms can be found off the den: one with a King bed and the other with a set of full-over-full bunk beds. These bedrooms share a full bathroom with a beautiful tiled shower.
Outside is surely to be your favorite place to hang out! The wrap around deck is large enough for the entire group to spread out! Plenty of rocking chairs and seating are on the porch, facing the beautiful views off in the distance. There is also a brand new hot tub for guests to relax in, as well as a stone fire pit in the yard to gather around on a crisp summer or fall evening! The large, flat yard is perfect for the family fur members to stretch their legs and play! The porch also has dog gates, as well!
Good Medicine is 5 minutes by car from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and the Grandview Overlook, 6 minutes from the nearest grocery store, and 24 minutes from Appalachian Ski Mountain. It is 4 miles from Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park, 4.6 miles from Booneshine Brewing Company, and 4.7 miles from Pine Run Public Fishing Area for boating and fishing enthusiasts.
Additional Notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is pet friendly for up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs.
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby.
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months.
- Parking space for up to 5 vehicles.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
