Welcome to White Tail Cottage! This warm, welcoming single-level home in the heart of Beech Mountain is a perfect choice for your next High Country vacation!
The vaulted great room offers a selection of furnishings arranged around a gas fireplace with a large cable TV as well. The dining table seats 6, and the kitchen, which features yards of solid counters and stainless steel appliances, is equipped with everything you need to prepare a range of snacks and meals while you’re here.
All three bedrooms are on the same floor and the home just has 1 step to enter, making this an excellent choice for those with mobility concerns. The King suite is situated at one end of the home, and offers a TV and private bath with double vanities and a shower. At the other end of the home is a Queen bedroom with TV, a bedroom with two Twin beds, and a shared full bath with shower. There’s also a half bath off the great room.
Step outside onto the covered front deck and let the cool mountain air refresh your soul. You might even see some of the cabin’s namesake whitetail deer wander through the yard! (Please be kind to our deer friends!)
Warm up after a day on the slopes in our oh-so-relaxing hot tub, or by the fun in-ground firepit!!!
Also located just a short distance from the home is the Beech Mountain Club where guests can enjoy access to private restaurants & events, professional tennis, a fitness center, pickleball courts, and a heated pool to name just a few amenities. Guest passes must be requested (Sports-level membership is available) and the transfer fee must be paid for in advance to the Club. Additionally, the Buckeye Recreation Center and numerous trout fishing streams are located close by and we can even connect you with the best local fly fishing guides. Just a few minutes’ drive down the hill is historic Banner Elk where you can even experience more activities including Horseback Riding, UTV tours, an Alpine Roller Coaster, White Water Rafting and Tubing Trips, Dining, Shopping, and so much more.
Additional Notes:
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 dogs for $25/night each plus taxes. Mature, well trained dogs only. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. All linens and towels provided for your stay.
- Firewood may be purchased for the outdoor firepit at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. One night includes two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax per night.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
