Welcome to Horse Valley Lodge! This newly renovated and updated two-story home located near the Yonahlossee Riding Stables between Boone & Blowing Rock is a wonderful home away from home. It offers mountain views, a brand new hot tub, a firepit, pool table, and a huge deck to relax on.
The fully equipped kitchen provides cooking essentials, granite counters, and stainless-steel appliances including a dishwasher and double door fridge & freezer with ice maker, plus the eat-in dining area at the table provides plenty of seating for your friends or family. Relax on the leather sectional sofa in the great room to watch your favorite show on the smart TV with streaming Spectrum services, or grab a mug of tea and read a book by the fireplace.
The primary bedroom offers a queen bed with smart TV with Spectrum as well as deck access, and is located on the main floor down the hall from the living room. Its private bathroom has a granite counter vanity and a tub/shower. Down the hall you’ll find a Queen bedroom, a bedroom with twin-over-full bunk and a teepee, and a second full bath with tub/shower.
Downstairs is a second sitting area with cozy furnishings, a poker table, and a big streaming TV (without Spectrum). There’s a game room in the converted garage, featuring a pool table. There are two more bedrooms on this level: one with a Queen bed that has a smart TV with Spectrum and the other with a set of twin-over-full bunk beds. These two bedrooms and the game rooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower.
Outside on the main level is a private deck for you to enjoy. Cook up dinner on the gas grill to enjoy on the picnic tables, relax on the set of patio furniture and enjoy the beautiful mountain views, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, and soak away your cares in the brand new hot tub by the firepit.
No matter where you go and what you do during your vacation, you’re sure to love Horse Valley Lodge!
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- This home allows up to 3 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax, max of 3 dogs. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night plus tax.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Boone, North Carolina, is a delightful mountain town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This town, which carries the name of the renowned pioneer Daniel Boone, offers a plethora of experiences for its visitors.
Nature lovers will find Boone an outdoor paradise. The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. These views become particularly spectacular during autumn when the leaves transform into vibrant hues.
History and culture enthusiasts have plenty to explore in Boone as well. While not located directly in Boone, but rather in nearby Blowing Rock, The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts is worth a visit for its display of contemporary art from both local and international artists.
Adding to the vibrancy of this mountain town is Appalachian State University. Visitors can experience collegiate energy by attending a football game at Kidd Brewer Stadium or enjoying a performance at one of the university's theaters.
The culinary scene in Boone mirrors its Southern heritage with numerous comfort food options but also caters to global palates with international cuisine offerings. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate several local breweries.
In summary, Boone presents an enticing mix of natural splendor, cultural encounters, and Southern allure that makes it an attractive destination for various types of travelers.
