As such, Finca Naranja Ronda is perfect for a large group of friends or couples travelling together. Some of these luxurious bungalows contain seating areas, and all benefit from an outdoor terrace, so guests are welcome to wake up, make a nice cup of tea, and enjoy the peace and quiet before the day starts. Location:
Finca Naranja Ronda is based just 20 minutes away from the iconic town of Ronda, a location that is well recognised for its vast collection of historical monuments and vibrant local culture. One of the most iconic landmarks within this area is Puente Nuevo, a looming bridge that spans across the decadent El Tajo Gorge. First built in 1759, this bridge took over 34 years to complete, making it a truly legacy-defining attraction. Guests are free to embark on an immense walking tour, allowing them to travel the vast length of this bridge and bask in the emerald-green trees that sit below. If you wish to learn more about the history of this bridge as well as the whole region in general, be sure to visit the accompanying exhibition that resides just a short walk away. The owners of Finca Naranja Ronda are always around to help organise any tours or excursions and can give plenty of recommendations for things to see and do in Ronda.
Jardines de Cuenca is another deeply inspiring attraction that can be found just next to the Puente Nuevo. During their time at this spectacular attraction, guests will have the chance to explore 23 rose-covered terraces, gaining a more intimate look at the region’s diverse selection of horticulture. These gardens were first constructed in 1975 to celebrate the relationship between Ronda and its sister city Cuenca, in Castilla-La-Mancha. Nearby is La Casa del Rey Moro, a historic palace with a water mine that is also a must-see in the town! Once you have explored everything these attractions have to offer, you must take a walk into Ronda’s town centre and marvel at the characteristic white-washed houses that accentuate the beauty of this area.
Though Ronda boasts a tremendously transformative and bustling food scene, many tourists tend to overlook its most famous dish. This city prepares rabbits in a truly unique way, serving them with fresh garlic and mushrooms. Local hunting has been prevalent since Arabic times and has greatly influenced regional cuisine. Guests can discover this delightful dish in a collection of local restaurants, discovering how these indulgent flavours blend together to build a truly unforgettable dish. Overall, this area is a fantastic place to visit for avid foodies who are looking to enjoy a deeply off-beat meal as they gain a more authentic taste of this incredible region. We highly recommend sampling some of the local vino and tapas, especially in Ronda’s Old Town, known as ’La Ciudad’ (the city).
