Beautifully renovated, and new for 2023 Ttich Manor is the perfect hideaway home for families and groups of friends looking for a picturesque retreat. The Grade II listed historic manor house is tucked away in a quiet, tranquil area with uninterrupted views and an acre of garden to explore.
The period property believed to date from the 12th Century has been recently modernized and refurbished whilst retaining its grand period features. Sleep up to 17 guests across four floors, with games room/arcade machine, music system, piano, seasonal outdoor hot tub (available between April and September only) and private sauna for guest use.
Transport back in time when you enter the sweeping driveway and are met by the eye-catching period property. Enter via the double doors onto the ground floor where you will find a traditional yet stylish dining room, with full height windows to allow light to cascade into this wonderful room. An expansive, period style lounge with U-shape sofas, smart TV, and Wi-Fi. Plus, large kitchen with all modern comforts including pod coffee machine, air fryer, three ovens, large fridge/freezer and waffle maker. With additional breakfast room, cloakroom, and utility.
The lower ground floor showcases elements of the old stone castle that once stood here, and offers a fantastic, entertaining, and spacious area for friends and families. With games room, Sony music system, private sauna and additional lounge located on this level.
The bedrooms are split between two further levels. On the 1st floor East Wing is one double bedroom with en suite and one single bedroom. On the 1st floor West Wing two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, two additional double bedrooms, one with a single bed and a family bathroom. On the 2nd floor you will find a double bedroom, a second bedroom with three single beds, additional bathroom, and further lounge area.
Behind the main house is, what was once, a formal garden again surrounded by mature trees and flora. From the main garden you are lead through an opening to a further expanse of garden from where you can enjoy views over local farmland. Lots of countryside walks along nearby rivers and lakes are available from your doorstep. Pets are welcome at the property, up to a maximum of four.
The traditional building provides a spacious retreat with all modern comforts which is suited to groups of families or friends looking for a peaceful getaway. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stag/hen parties and large events at this home. An EV charger point is available at this property.
A historic building with many unique features, this is truly a one-of-a-kind property located in such a charming and tranquil setting, while still close to all the conveniences of Milton Keynes.

About the area
Bedfordshire, a charming county in the heart of England, offers a delightful mix of rural landscapes, historic treasures, and family attractions. Its proximity to London makes it an accessible escape for those looking to experience the English countryside without straying too far from the capital.
For history enthusiasts, Bedfordshire is steeped in centuries of heritage. The jewel in its crown is Woburn Abbey, a historic house and deer park that has been the home of the Dukes of Bedford for over 300 years. Visitors can explore the stunning house with its impressive art collection, wander through the beautifully landscaped gardens, and spot wildlife in the extensive deer park.
Another historic highlight is the medieval Luton Hoo Estate, which has been transformed into a luxury hotel and spa. The estate's gardens and parkland are a testament to the work of famous landscape architect Capability Brown, offering serene walks and picturesque views.
Bedfordshire is also home to the Shuttleworth Collection, where aviation history comes to life. This unique museum showcases one of the world's most prestigious collections of vintage aircraft and classic cars, many of which still take to the skies during spectacular airshows.
For those who enjoy the great outdoors, the county provides ample opportunities for walking, cycling, and bird-watching. The Greensand Ridge Walk offers a scenic route across the county, passing through diverse landscapes and charming villages. Meanwhile, the Dunstable Downs in the Chiltern Hills are a haven for kite flyers and gliders, offering panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
Families will find plenty to do in Bedfordshire, with attractions like ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, one of the UK's largest zoos, where visitors can see a wide range of animals in spacious enclosures. The nearby Mead Open Farm offers interactive experiences with farm animals and play areas for children.
For a unique experience, visitors can delve into the world of espionage at the Bletchley Park museum, the site of World War II code-breaking efforts. Although technically just over the border in Buckinghamshire, its close proximity to Bedfordshire makes it an easy and worthwhile addition to any itinerary.
Bedfordshire's towns, such as Bedford and Luton, offer a mix of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences, with local markets, international cuisine, and theaters contributing to the vibrant local scene.
In essence, Bedfordshire is a destination that combines rural beauty, historic grandeur, and family fun, making it an appealing choice for travelers looking to experience the quintessential English countryside with a rich cultural backdrop.
