Abbeville Village — the name alone suggests an inviting fusion of quaint and sophisticated. And that’s exactly what you get with this home, both inside and out. Nestled in a leafy enclave of sought-after Clapham, Abbeville is brimming with stylish cafes, artisan shops, and row upon row of beautiful terraced houses — and this one is no exception. Combining a warm family feel with sleek, modern interiors, and proximity to the leafy oasis of Clapham Common and Clapham South Tube station, you’ll have the best of both worlds at your fingertips — whether that’s a jaunt into the city or a tranquil day out with the family.
This home definitely got the memo about striking tones, designer wallpaper, and attention to detail. And the result is splendid. Downstairs you’ll be instantly impressed by the seamless weaving between classic, London-home aesthetic in the living room and modernist glow-up in the kitchen. Beyond the clean lines and midnight blues of the latter, you’ll find a lustrous seating area overlooking a generously-sized garden (shout-out to that similarly generously-sized TV too). Fancy a slightly more formal affair? The sleek dining room, complete with gothic-style oak table, is practically crying out for gourmet levels of feasting. Upstairs the bedrooms are all meticulously designed with their own unique interiors, from colour palette to wallpaper (our personal favourite being the botanical yellow, which on closer inspection is dotted with monkeys...of course).
We love...
The fact that no detail is spared — even in the bathrooms. Whether it’s the spa-style family bathroom, all swathed in marble with a vast walk-in shower and roll-top tub, or the charming blue brick design upstairs, everything has been thought through — including a few luxury extras, like the wine chiller in the kitchen, and the flame effect gas fire in the living room.
Home truths:
No smoking, pets, or parties! This home is set over four floors. The garden boast those two holiday staples — easy Astroturf lawn and alfresco seating with BBQ. A Rattan dining table and stools will soon be added too. Two of the three beds are zip and link beds that can be separated to form two singles, or locked together to offer a spacious super king-sized double. There’s also a flame effect gas fire in the living room that will set your cosy evenings up nicely.
