Situated just a stone’s throw from Esthwaite Water lies "Windermere", an ideal cottage for four people in the magical village of Near Sawrey. With two comfortable bedrooms and lovely open plan living space, it makes the perfect base for a family or two couples from which to explore this much-loved part of the world. Added to this, all of the accommodation is arranged on the ground floor so it would suit those with more limited mobility. Part of a group of cottages owned by the Graythwaite Estate, Windermere benefits from miles of lovely private trails. On arrival at the property the entrance is via a large covered archway. Through the front door you’ll find coat hooks and boot space for your outdoor bits and bobs. To the right is the delightful L-shaped open plan living space, it has three large arched windows letting in tons of light and a wood burning stove as its focal point. Why not lounge around on the large, comfy corner sofa and watch the wall mounted TV? There’s a wooden dining table for four and a light modern kitchen with a view of Esthwaite Water. The kitchen is well-equipped with a built-in fan oven, four ceramic hobs, a microwave, slimline dishwasher and all the crockery and cookware you’ll need for your stay. Back to the main hallway where you’ll find the modern shower room with a mixer shower in a square enclosure. Lastly to the two lovely bedrooms. The master bedroom has a a kingsize bed with a wardrobe and dresser for storage while the delightful twin room has a dresser and built-in wardrobe and french doors out on to the terrace. There are shared laundry facilities in the courtyard. Outside the cottage there is a patio with dining furniture where you can enjoy the glorious views of Esthwaite Water and the surrounding fells. You can even see as far as the majestic Langdale Pikes in the distance. Why not enjoy an evening glass of wine soaking up the tranquility?
