Centered in the Heart of the Historic District, Modern Retreat is on tree-lined Oglethorpe Avenue, within walking distance of everything Savannah has to offer! After undergoing an extensive renovation, no detail was spared while furnishing this space. Located in the YWCA Building established in 1903, you’ll be enriched in history from the moment you step into the building.
Take the elevator or stairs up to the second floor where Modern Retreat awaits your arrival. Boasting with tall ceilings and natural light, each room has been finished with cool tones and comfortable furnishings. The gathering room has an ample amount of seating for your entire party to gather; whether you’re watching a movie, playing a card game or preparing for a day of adventure, there is room for everyone! Beyond this space, you’ll find the tastefully designed kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances. You’ll have everything needed to prepare home cooked, intimate meals and cocktails.
The primary bedroom can be found just past the living room and features a King bed, smart television, and a spacious closet for all of your belongings. Each room features a luxurious an ensuite bathroom with shower/tub combo that have been fully remodeled. Natural light fills the second bedroom, which also features a plush King size bed, a smart television, and a large closet.
You’ll be steps away from the city’s most sought after attractions – bustling River Street, Broughton Street shopping, Telfair Museum, Savannah Theatre, the Cathedral, Forsyth Park and more – are all within easy walking distance.

This unit has on-street, metered parking which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm. You have the option of feeding the meter, parking in a nearby parking garage, or buying a parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center.
We can welcome your dog companions at this pet friendly home, but ask that you find other arrangements for cats, birds, and other furry friends. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.
