Guests will enjoy coming together in the multi-faceted grounds with a gazebo furnished with a table and chairs and a paved area, set between the private pool fringed by an olive grove and vineyard and the house, also furnished with sun chairs and a parasol for shaded snoozing or indulging in some holiday reading. A stone barbecue, well-placed between the two seating areas, will facilitate al-fresco feasts. Renaissance Florence is easily reached by car. And the hamlet of Cascia, near Reggello – the nearest spot for groceries, bars and restaurants – is home to the historically important San Giovenale triptych in the well-preserved, 12th-century San Pietro church. Our Thoughts This villa really encourages appreciation of the rural Tuscan scenery, whether through Juliet balconies and double doors or the generous grounds with multiple opportunities for admiring the rolling hills and mountains in the distance. It also allows for romantic swims under the stars as the sheltered pool area is illuminated. Inside, doors are replaced by high, brick arches giving an open-plan feel and sense of space. Notes Although three families live in the neighbouring properties, they do not use the pool, which is completely private. Podere Altovito is a semi-detached apartment. The neighbouring apartment has its own separate entrance. Parking - 3 spaces on site. Pool The Pool is surrounded by a large terracotta, paved area with sun beds and an outdoor shower, leading to lawn. The water is accessed via metal ladder steps. Pool size: 4m x 8m, 1.5m deep.
