Villa Drago is part of the Tenuta Fonte del Sasso country estate -today owned by a famous local oenologist and wine maker- that consists in various thousands of hectares of immaculate woods and countryside.
The Villa has been crafted and lovingly restored and once used as a family home among the estate. Now it is provided with a private pool and garden with views of the immaculate woods all around. The villa has extensive outdoor spaces, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. A large porch/veranda with a dining area has commanding views of the landscape, as do the Pool. Baby equipment like a crib and high chair welcomes even the youngest visitors.
Tucked into the rolling hills outside the hamlet of Orentano, the four-bedroom home has a prime location near Lucca, Pisa, San Miniato, San Gimignano, Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, Montecatini, Pistoia and Volterra -all between a 15 and 60 mins drive away- while 25-minute drive brings you to Pisa Airport. A bar, a few restaurants, a grocery store, and two pizza restaurants are located in the hamlet of Orentano, walking distance from the villa (2.5 kms away) while the major town of Altopascio with a huge number of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, groceries, bakeries featuring the famous local ‘Altopascio bread’ made there since the 1100s, bars, pizzerias, ice cream shops etc is available in less than a 10 mins drive from the Villa.
This region of Tuscany offers countless opportunities to experience the long and diverse local history, start-ing from he bespoke Lucca, with the best preserved Amphitheatre in the Roman world, to Pisa, San Miniato and Montecatini Terme all between a 20 to a 30 mins drive away. Florence, San Gimignano, and Cinque Terre -five mirage-like villages built on a series of shores, also makes a fabulous historical site to visit during your stay- are all approx a 1 hour drive away. Pistoia, Volterra, Siena, Bolgheri, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Garfagnana, Valdinievole and the Versilia Coast are all in an endless distance.

Notes: The owner lives with his dog in a small apartment inside the property with separate access in one side/back of the villa.
This is an unfenced property at the middle of a wood, very close to the village of Orentano.
