In addition, there is Margate which has the renowned Turner Contemporary Gallery, and Broadstairs, which is known for its connections to Charles Dickens, and have been named the sunniest areas in the UK (Met office statistics 2021, both within 5.3 miles). Getting Around: Avid walkers can take a stroll along the Viking Coastal Trail, which runs from Ramsgate around the Kent coastline to Herne Bay. Conveniently located close to Ramsgate train station (0.5 mile) if you wish to explore without the car.
