Pinecone Peak is a beautifully designed chalet with sleek architectural lines that lends itself nicely to its serene park-like setting in Dorrington among the pines. Soaring ceilings and two stories of windows allow in all the natural light. Newly remodeled with a spacious great room, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a loft, and 2 full bathrooms. The garage has been converted into a fun game room with Ping Pong, Billiards, Foosball, Air Hockey, and Shuffleboard table. The decks (front and back) are the perfect spot for the family BBQ or to just relax and soak up the Sierra sunshine. And for those skiers looking to hit the slopes early this level corner lot right off of Highway 4 is ideal. Forced Air Heat and wood stove keep you warm in the winter!
Pinecone Peak sleeps 8 guests in 2 bedrooms plus the loft. Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor with a Queen bed. Bedroom 2 is upstairs with 2 day beds (2 Twins). The loft has a Queen bed and a full futon. There is also a sleeper sofa.

About the area
Dorrington sits on State Route 4 and was a historic stopping place on the Big Tree-Carson Valley Road and was a toll road between Murphys and Ebbetts Pass, often serving as a resort for visitors to what is now Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Dorrington is also home to the second largest Sugar Pine in the world, measuring 32 ft round and 220 ft. tall.
