If you don’t want to go any farther, visit Shelly Beach for its beautiful coastline and clear waters; it’s 800m away, just in the centre of town. Go fishing and enjoy some delectable seafood dishes from the restaurants in Lorne Pier, just 200m away. If you don’t mind long drives, take the 1 and 1/2 hr drive to Port Campbell National Park, where you’ll see the world-famous 12 Apostles of Australia. It’s a breathtaking natural formation of limestone stacks. With its dramatic cliffs and panoramic views, the drive is totally worth it.
