Perched high above the Blue Ridge Mountains with breathtaking panoramic views, Mountain Gem is a newly updated, four-level, 6-bedroom, 5.5-bath estate designed for those who want it all: seclusion, space, and style. Sleeping up to 15 guests, this is the mountain getaway you’ve been searching for.
Arrive & Unwind
A grand entry welcomes you into soaring vaulted ceilings bathed in natural light. The modern farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quiet morning coffee to a feast for the whole group, featuring an island with a modern cooktop, dual drip and pod-style coffeemaker, double toaster, dishwasher, and generous counter space. Pull up a stool at the bar for a casual breakfast, or gather in the dining room with seating for six. Afterward, settle into the living room around the charming gas fireplace beneath a large mounted TV or step outside to take in sweeping mountain views from the stone patio.
Sleep in Comfort
Every bedroom is thoughtfully appointed with mounted TVs and ceiling fans. The four-level layout offers privacy and flexibility for large groups:
- Main level: King bedroom with ensuite bath vanity, plus a twin/full bunk room perfect for kids, complete with games and a mounted TV. A spa-worthy bath with a jetted tub and separate standing shower rounds out this level.
- Upper level: Two King bedrooms sharing a beautifully tiled double-vanity bath with standing shower, plus an additional twin bedroom with foosball table and jumbo Connect Four. A loft retreat above features a full, queen, and air mattress setup with its own double-vanity bath and oversized soaking tub.
- Lower level: The ultimate entertainment floor, featuring a billiards room with pool table, multiple mounted TVs, and a hall bath — the perfect place to gather after a day on the mountain.
Play & Recharge
Soak under the open mountain sky in your private hot tub. Challenge the group to pool, foosball, or Connect Four. With Boone’s renowned dining, shopping, and Appalachian State University just seven minutes away, adventure is always close, but you may never want to leave.
Additional Notes
-This home is pet friendly, allowing up to four dogs for an additional rent of $25 per night per pet.
-Check-In is after 4pm. Check-Out is by 10am.
-All linen and towels are provided.
-All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers
-This property has three exterior security cameras, Camera 1 is located above garage and point toward driveway, Camera 2 is on back patio but has been aimed down and only captures ground and partial rear entry door, and Camera 3 is doorbell style camera at the main entryway. No cameras monitor the interior of the home or common gathering areas.
-Call for special prices on last minute availability as well as for extended stays. Guests returning to Mountain Gem receive a special discount!
-4WD / AWD vehicles are recommended in winter, November-March. Please be aware of changing weather conditions and be prepared with snow chains, if needed.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
