The villa lies in the residential area called San Montano, 4 km from Sorrento, in what was once a fishermen’s village and is now an agricultural center renowned for the production of a particular kind of lemon. It was a holiday resort long before the advent of modern tourism, with its houses and miniature gardens leading down towards the sea and with the island of Capri providing a spectacular backdrop.
