For a gentler day, why not enjoy a paddle at the local pebble beach in Evanton where you can amble through the forestry tracks in the community woodland and marvel at the glistening loch.  If you’re searching for sand then we recommend a day trip to the nearby sandy beaches of Dornoch and Rosemarkie, enjoy a warming hot chocolate at the Rosemarkie Beach Café then take a trip to the Groam House Museum where you can discover a wealth of Celtic and Pictish art. Golfers will be spoilt for choice with a plethora of links courses varying from the historic Fortrose and Rosemarkie, the 15th Oldest Club in the World to the internationally acclaimed championship course at Royal Dornach. Just a thirty-minute drive will take you to Cromarty where you can climb onboard a RIB boat with Ecoadventures to discover the resident colony of bottlenose dolphins at Moray Firth, a truly magical experience for all the family.  Whilst grown-ups won’t want to miss out on a visit to the local whisky distilleries Glenmorangie and Balblair where it would be remiss not to take advantage of sampling some of Scotland’s finest amber spirit.
