Two Hearthstones House is located on the south side of Yellowwood State Forest. The 5.7-mile Scarce O’Fat Loop Hiking Trail takes you through the heart of the forest. Explore the trails in the beautiful Yellowwood Forest at your own pace. Just 25 miles away, Lake Monroe is an excellent spot for catching some rays. Relax in front of the large brick fireplace. You can also play games at the dining table, the kitchen bar, or the breakfast nook. With its open concept, this mid-century home makes it easy for everyone to participate. Rural Environment Notice Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring. These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience! PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Property Manager proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee. All gas fireplaces are seasonal and available for use from October 1 to April 1. PRICE STRUCTURE: Two Hearthstones is a multi-split-level home. The price structure is the rate for two people, with a master bedroom and bathroom on its split floor (all other bedrooms will remain locked). For three to four guests, we will unlock bedroom two and a bathroom on the upper split floor. Bedroom two contains another sleeping area with a trundle bed, separated by a curtain. For five or more guests, we will unlock bedroom three on the lowest level with a fireplace. A futon is located on the upper level in the loft POOL: Open Late May-Early September ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers’ tax from 5% to 8%.
