As modern as it is lush, the South Congress Custom House is an ideal setting for a group getaway in a pitch-perfect location. Four vibrant bedrooms sleep 14 guests total—each with either a queen or king bed (and one with a pull-out sofa to sleep two). Best of all? Our coveted South Congress location is a short walk from some of the city’s most popular restaurants and sites.
Park in your private driveway, drop your bags, and:
Find your ideal hangout spot. South Congress Custom House is a 2,600 sq. ft. industrial-chic haven with concrete counters, clean-lined furnishings and custom ironwork details. Outside, find a BBQ-ready space with a fenced yard, charcoal grill, smoker, fire pit, and leafy, serene landscaping.
Can’t decide between indoors or out? You can also have both at once: there’s also a screened side porch for enjoying Southern breezes without the direct sun. This space even has its own wet bar and a nap-worthy sectional sofa.
Easily explore two of Austin’s best streets/neighborhoods. The South Congress area (aka SoCo) is undoubtably an Austin favorite—and you’re right in the middle of it here. To the other side is South First, another activity-packed thoroughfare. Foodies will appreciate the range of options at their fingertips, from Torchy’s Tacos to some of the city’s best Thai food at Sway (both are less than a 5-minute walk away). Make a night of it and catch some live music at The Continental Club, just a 10-minute walk.
Admire some Austin originals. The South Congress Custom House is just down the street from the famed Greetings from Austin mural. But you don’t even have to go that far for local art. The house itself features wall-sized murals in two of the bedrooms, plus other original art and custom design elements throughout.
Have brunch at home. Wake up refreshed, stay in your PJs, and head to the full, open-concept kitchen. The frosted cabinets are filled with everything you need to cook and eat. You can even get the house pre-stocked with your favorite brunch ingredients. Mix up mimosas, slather those pancakes in syrup, and head to the dining table to feast!
