La Rive Gauche is a charming family home nestled among the redwoods and overlooking the Russian River. This cozy and rustic home features warm rich colors, wood floors, woodstove and country charm. Two sliding glass doors from the living room open onto a sunny deck with river views. The deck features a 4 person hot tub, redwood furniture and a charcoal barbecue. A flight of stairs leads to a seasonal vegetable garden and fenced yard with outdoor furniture. From the yard, 40 steps lead down the riverbank to a seasonal deep water dock and 3 kayaks (available mid-May through mid-September depending on river conditions). A great home for families in a quiet, residential neighborhood! With 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, this home comfortably sleeps 8 guests. On the main floor, you’ll find a full bath and 3 bedrooms (1 King and 2 sets of Twins). On the second floor is a master suite and full bath with lovely river views. The well-equipped kitchen has a large refrigerator, granite countertops, garbage disposal, electric oven, gas cooktop, work island, plenty of counter space and a laundry room with a front-loading washer and dryer. No dishwasher. Centrally located in Monte Rio, La Rive Gauche is within walking distance to many local attractions, including the Monte Rio public beach, Rio Theater, Bartlett’s grocery, restaurants, bars and shops. Jenner by the Sea, Northwood Golf Course, Armstrong Woods and many Russian River wineries are just a short drive away. Explore the river by kayak, go fishing in the river, feed the ducks from the dock, or watch for river otters, turtles, ospreys and herons. The garden is for guests to enjoy, so feel free to pick some blackberries for breakfast, or vegetables for dinner.
