Known for its picturesque landscapes and wildlife, Anglesea is a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The town's stunning beaches are a major draw, with the main Anglesea Beach providing a perfect setting for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing. The patrolled waters make it a safe spot for families, while the consistent waves at nearby Point Roadknight and Urquhart Bluff attract surfers of all levels.
Anglesea's natural wonders extend beyond its beaches. The Anglesea Heath is renowned for its biodiversity, including over a quarter of Victoria's plant species and a plethora of wildlife, such as kangaroos and colorful birdlife. Hiking and mountain biking trails wind through the heath, offering visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the area's natural splendor.

For those interested in golf, the Anglesea Golf Club is famous for its resident population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos, which can be seen lounging around the course, adding a uniquely Australian experience to your game.
The town itself exudes a friendly atmosphere, with a selection of cafes, restaurants, and shops that showcase local produce and artisanal goods. The Anglesea Art House and local markets provide a glimpse into the creative talents of the community.
Anglesea also serves as a convenient base for exploring other attractions along the Great Ocean Road, such as the iconic Twelve Apostles, the historic Split Point Lighthouse in Aireys Inlet, and the lush rainforests of the Otway Ranges.
