If you’re looking for a peaceful seaside holiday or short break where you can park your car and take your dog to explore the area on foot, Scott’s Cottage in Reydon will fit the bill! The picturesque seaside town of Southwold is a 30 minute walk away, (just 1.7 miles) with its sandy beach, colourful beach huts, iconic pier and vibrant High Street full of independent shops and eateries.
Interiors are spacious for four guests with a sociable kitchen/breakfast room where you can prepare and enjoy meals at home; and a charming living room where double doors open into the garden so you can enjoy indoor/outdoor living in the warmer weather. On the first floor you’ll find the main bedroom with a king size bed and ample space to unpack and settle in; the twin bedroom sitting quietly at the back of the cottage; and the family bathroom conveniently located for all guests with a cloakroom on the ground floor.
An added bonus is the fully enclosed courtyard style garden, (ideal for dogs and ’little guests’) where there’s a charcoal BBQ, a table, chairs, and a bench so you can relax with a good book or enjoy dining al fresco. The property is on a private estate on the outskirts of the village of Reydon, with off road parking for two cars directly in front of the entrance. The village has a couple of thriving local shops, a hotel/restaurant/pub and play areas within walking distance; as well as many wonderful coastal towns and villages, walks and attractions to explore within easy reach.
The Space:
GROUND FLOOR
You’re welcomed into a hall with the bright kitchen/breakfast room to your left; large living room, with French doors opening to the courtyard garden ahead of you, and the cloakroom and carpeted stairs to your right.
LIVING ROOM
This large L shaped living room has double doors onto the patio garden and is comfortably furnished with two large sofas, an armchair with footstool and coffee tables. Entertainment’s provided with a 27 inch TV with Freesat and IPlayer, DAB radio/ipod dock and a Blue Ray DVD player with CDs, DVDs, books, games provided.
KITCHEN/BREAKFAST ROOM
A sunny kitchen equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, three drawer freezer and a BBQ for summer months. There’s a sturdy table with four chairs in the corner.
CLOAKROOM
Tucked under the stairs with WC and washbasin.
FIRST FLOOR
Carpeted stairs rise from the hall to the first-floor landing where there’s a bookcase stacked with reading and reference material for you to enjoy. Doors open to both bedrooms and the bathroom.
MAIN BEDROOM
At the front of the property, this large bedroom has a king-size bed with bedside tables, and space for your belongings in a blanket box, chest of drawers, and wardrobe.
FAMILY BATHROOM
This room has a bath with shower over, WC, washbasin and window giving natural light.
TWIN BEDROOM
Sitting quietly at the back overlooking the garden. Furnished with sturdy wooden twin beds, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
OUTSIDE
Double doors open from the living room to a pretty and fully enclosed garden – ideal for dogs and little guests! There’s a combination of shingle and flagstones; a table and chairs ensure you can enjoy meals outside with charcoal BBQ provided. There’s parking directly in front of the cottage
