Located in a historic Victorian building on Whitby’s North Promenade, 4 Metropole Towers is a spacious holiday apartment with plenty of style and charm. Ideal for family breaks or retreats by the coast with friends, this three bedroom apartment has amazing sea views and boasts two balconies, whilst also offering original features throughout. Sleeping up to six guests, the apartment is guaranteed to provide the perfect base whilst exploring Whitby and North Yorkshire.
The Space:
Ideal for socialising, 4 Metropole Towers has an open plan space which includes the living and dining area.
LIVING ROOM
The spacious room also includes two velvet sofas and a flat screen TV, along with a coffee table and a soft rug. Sit back and admire the sea views from inside or you can step outside onto the balcony.
DINING AREA
The dining area includes a dining table and six padded chairs so all guests can comfortably be catered for.
KITCHEN
With a mixture of grey and white cabinets, along with shiny worktops, the modern kitchen is both stylish and practical. You’ll have everything you need for a self-catering stay as the kitchen is fully equipped.
BEDROOM AND BATHROOM
You’ll also find three bedrooms, one ensuite, and a generously sized family bathroom at 4 Metropole Towers.
Head to the first bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable and stylish space. You’ll enjoy your nights sleep as the super-king size bed boasts premium bedding and linens. With a private balcony boasting views over to Whitby Abbey, along with an ensuite, this room may be ideal for couples.
In the second bedroom you will find another spacious super-king size bed that is complete with cushions, soft, fine linens, and comfortable bedding for the perfect night’s sleep. You will also find drawers and an in-room basin for your convenience, as well as access to the apartment’s triple sea facing balcony.
The third bedroom boasts two comfortable single beds with soft headboards and there is also an ensuite bathroom with a shower, WC and sink.
Please note that all beds are zip & link so all bedrooms can be set up to your liking beforehand. The options consist of super-king size beds, or two single beds in each room. Please contact our team with your preferred bed layout prior to your stay.
The main bathroom is another modern space and it features a free-standing bathtub, a walk in shower, a basin and a WC. Recently refurbished it features tiled walls and immaculate finishes.
Please note that Apartment 4 is located above The Met bar which is licensed to play music until midnight at weekends. The apartment owners have done everything possible to mitigate the noise.
Property Manager are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Apartment 4 is one of only a few apartments at Metropole Towers that has access to on-site parking bays, however these operate on a first come, first served basis so a space cannot be guaranteed. A parking scratch card is also provided, allowing for free on-street parking nearby.

The Neighborhood:
Located on North Promenade in Whitby, 4 Metropole Towers is less than a 20-minute walk to the town centre. There you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and fish restaurants on Pier Road. Venture along the lively road and you’ll reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.
On the other side of the River Esk, you’ll come across narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and even more fish restaurants. You can climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short 20-minute walk from 4 Metropole Towers.
Whitby train station is less than 20-minutes away on foot so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
