The Home
The Purple Parrot has 3 levels of fun, including a 3rd story game room, called the "Crow’s Nest". Conveniently located in a small, private beach-side community of DeSoto Landings, it features Gulf views from the second floor, and a panoramic view from the third floor- all the way to the Sand Island lighthouse. This property is pet friendly with a 2-Pet Maximum LImit.
While not located directly on the beach, the Purple Parrot is just a few hundred yards from the boardwalk to the neighborhood’s private Gulf of Mexico beach, Pool, Tennis Courts, or boardwalk to the neighborhoods’ Gulf Beach. This small, private, gated community shares a pool, cabana, tennis court and Gulf of Mexico beach.
All linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation...

Payment and Cancellation - 60 Day Policy
Grace Period:
- Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation request, and (2) reservation request was made 11 days before arrival.
Payment Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
- More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
- For guests paying with points: 100% of payment will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.
Cancellation Policy:
- 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
- More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.
House Rules
- 1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
- 2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include all adults and children and cannot be exceeded at any time.
- 3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
- 4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
- 5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
- 6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
- 7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
- 8. Take the trash can to the street on Monday night and Friday night.
- 9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-Pet Maximum Limit - $100 pet fee applies per dog per stay.
- 10. Cargo lifts are not available to guests and can not be used. They are not permitted by Home Owner Insurance Policies.
